Thanks to Violette Haldane and Keith Grant the Cricket Hall of Fame Museum project is alive and well.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hartford Health Care VP Keith Grant says the Hospital is considering to donate a building for the Cricket Hall of Fame Museum’s use. With T20 World Cup coming to the USA in June 2024 this would be an interesting addition to the event.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keith Grant<\/strong> has become a trusted voice when people have questions about infectious diseases, especially COVID-19. Grant’s role in the United States Air Force along with some humble beginnings is allowing him to serve his country with medicine.<\/p>\n

Keith Grant has served in the United States Air Force. Grants time in the Air Force allowed him to go to school for nursing and understand the importance of representation within the medical field.<\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Grant is the senior assistant director for infectious prevention at Hartford Healthcare. He’s tasked with understanding the latest viral diseases and coming up with solutions to try and prevent potential spread.<\/p>\n

“I enjoy doing this where we get to watch how the science works and appreciating the fact that people drive the numbers and your actions,” said Grant.<\/p>\n

The nurse practitioner told NBC Connecticut that he’s come to appreciate his role as a Black medical leader especially throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n

“This is the first time I think in my professional career that I’ve really appreciated being Black,” said Grant. “I’ve never been in a position where it’s so prominently outlined like we’re having regular conversations centered around race.”<\/p>\n

Violette O. Haldane<\/strong>, entrepreneur, and community advocate is passionate about people in the communities where she lives and works. Ms. Haldane works on a consulting basis with hospitals, nonprofits, and government agencies helping them with community engagement on numerous topics from the \u201cdigital divide\u201d to the literacy gap. She identifies problems and offers solutions using her analytical, organizational, project management, and communication skills. She is a co-founder of \u201cAdvocacy to Legacy, Inc.\u201d, a non-profit which educates individuals, families, and communities on how to advocate for themselves in order to change lives and policy. She has a BA in Communications from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the University of Hartford. She is a 2009 CT Health Foundation Fellow. In 2018, she was acknowledged as one of the \u201c100 Woman of Color\u201d honorees. Ms. Haldane was born in Jamaica, West Indies but considers Ct her home. She is the proud mom of Eva and Joshua.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
