Kinjal Hemant Buch
Co-Founder, California Cricket Academy is a visionary leader whose lifelong dedication to youth development and cricket has left an indelible mark on the American sporting landscape. Since moving to the United States in 1990, she has been deeply engaged in community initiatives that promote cultural values, character building, and leadership among young people. Guided by her belief that sports, art, and education are equally essential for holistic child development, Kinjal has devoted more than three decades to empowering youth through structured opportunity and inclusive programs

As Co-Founder of California Cricket Academy, a not-for-profit organization, established in 2003, Kinjal Nuch helped build one of the premier and largest youth cricket academies in the nation. Under her stewardship, the academy established gold standards in raising millions of dollars for infrastructure development, tournament execution, and competitive excellence by hosting national championships and international tours. Her meticulous planning, empathetic leadership, and exceptional organizational skills have enabled the successful management of large-scale community projects that have developed future champions for the United States.

Her expertise earned her appointment to the Development Committee formed by the International Cricket Council and USA Cricket. For the past six years, she has served as the elected Western Region USA Cricket Hub Director, where she has played a pivotal role in implementing a robust, process-driven system to strengthen youth cricket pathways. Known for her analytical precision, Kinjal has mastered the development of tournament and league schedules of any scale, overcoming logistical challenges with strategic foresight and efficiency.
A passionate advocate for girls’ participation in cricket, Kinjal organized the first-ever young girls’ tour to the United Kingdom in 2023, creating unprecedented access to prestigious county-level competition. Since then, she has continued to provide national opportunities for girls to participate in similar tours—without profit—ensuring equitable development pathways. She also introduced a progressive two-year age exception allowing girls to compete in boys’ tournaments, giving them essential time and exposure to reach competitive parity.
In addition to athletics, she introduced on line cricket magazine and technology projects to inspire young athletes to express creativity, reinforcing her philosophy that excellence extends beyond the field.

Her contributions and charity works have been recognized with accolades from the International Cricket Council, leading women’s organizations, and the from the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce by honoring her with STAR award. She has also received formal proclamations from a United States Congressman, city mayors, and city councils honoring her pioneering service and community impact.
Today, Kinjal proudly witnesses California Cricket Academy alumni thriving in their professional and personal lives. Her legacy is defined by opportunity, inclusion, and transformative leadership. Through unwavering dedication and visionary service, Kinjal Buch has fundamentally advanced youth cricket in America, making her an exceptionally deserving candidate for induction into the USA Hall of Fame.
